Week of Prayer

As a part of the Week of Prayer we are collecting a special offering to go to special needs in the association and our churches.  If you would like to give you can do this in two ways:

1.  Mail a check to Metro East Baptist Association, 4950 Old Collinsville Road, Swansea, IL 62226
2.  Click on the "Online Giving" button at the top of this page.  Then you will click on the "Donate" button.  That will open a page that has a dropdown box.  Click on the box and highlight "Special Needs."  Then follow the instruction on the page to give either through Pay Pal or a debt or credit card.

Day One: Sunday, October 20,2019
Pray Today for… your personal spiritual health. Pray that God would draw you closer to Himself and that you would have the eyes of your heart enlnightened, that you may know what is the hope to which He has called you (Ephesians 1:18). Confess your sin and praise God for His Mercy and grace.

Day Two: Monday, October 21, 2019
Pray Today for… the spiritual health of those in your circle (your family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers). Pray that God would use you to proclaim His excellence to the nations (1 Peter 2:9).

Day Three: Tuesday, October 22, 2019
Pray Today for… your church’s spiritual health. Pray that God would open your church’s eyes to anything hindering the work of the gospel in your community. Pray that God would expose sin and bring healing to broken relationships. Pray for unity in the body and pray for opportunities to serve one another (Psalm 51).

Day Four: Wednesday, October 23, 2019
Pray Today for… your church leadership. Pray for your spiritual leaders- your pastor, church leaders, and the church staff. Pray that they would hold fast to purity, transparency, and Godpel-proclamation. Pray that God would give them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him (Ephesians 1:15-17).

Day Five: Thursday, October 24, 2019
Pray Today for… your association’s spiritual health. Pray for Bro. Ronny and Tom as they lead the work. Pray that God would give them widsom, humility, and direction in ways they can assist the local church in carrying out the local and global mission.

Day Six: Friday, October 25, 2019
Pray Today for… the reached people of the world. Pray that God would use you and your church to reach the 3.13 billion people in the world who have little to no access to the gospel. Pray that God would send workers from your church (and maybe you) to go and share the gospel with those around the world (Matthew 9:38).

Day Seven: Saturday, October 26, 2019
Pray Today for… the unchurched people of our nation. Pray that God would open the eyes of those in the United States of America to the state of their lostness and that God would break our hearts over our sin (Ephesians 6:18).

Day Eight: Sunday, October 27, 2019
Pray Today for… your city/community/neighborhood. God has placed you in your city for a reason. Pray that God would use you and your church to push back the darkness in your community and that you would rescue the lost, heal the hurting, and preach restoration to that wich is broken (Jeremiah 29:7).
